Arricovallo decends from the dam line of Bucephala by Bucephalos xx.

Grand dam Bavilla, who was successfully presented in jumping up to M level, brought Carracho by Carrico for the Vechta Elite Foal Auction and Silver Exchange II, born 2001, by Langjunge out of Bavilla by Lavallo-Wodan-Bucephalos xx. He presented himself as one of the most successful German horses on the course during the season opener tournament series in Wellington, USA.

Eight sport horses come from the great-granddam Bucephala, such as the S-jumper Silvio (by Simply) and Scarlett (by San Carlos) and the M-jumper Gregory (by Grannox). The fourth generation of the race-proven Bucephalos xx is a valuable refiner who brought horses for both disciplines.

This mare family also produced the successful S show jumpers Silvio by Simply under Stefan Abt and Miss Glockner by Grossglockner under Kai Ligges.

Arezzo VDL

Arezzo’s sire line is unique with five generations of Grand Prix jumpers in a row: Chin Chin, Heartbreaker, Renville, Jasper and Akteur – and all are sires of Grand Prix jumpers.

1. Arezzo’s dam line exemplifies performance. The most famous representatives are Dragonfly with Nicole Simpson and Nacorde who won the Hamburg Derby three times with Andre Thieme. Both are half-brothers to Arezzo’s dam, Sarjolijn ‘Ster and Prestatie’. Besides Arezzo she also brought the international jumpers Zodermus M and Bubka VDL

Palmares

1. As a 3-yr. old, Arezzo was Champion of the KWPN Spring Stallion Test receiving a 9 for his reflexes, scope and talent as jumper. As a young horse Arezzo became reserve Champion of the stallion competitions in the classes 1.10m and 1.20m and at the National Championship of the 5-year olds he won the final and ended 5th overall. At the World Championship in Lanaken he placed 4th in the final of the 7-year old jumpers.
2. Ridden by Jessica Kuerten and Jur Vrieling, Arezzo has achieved many successes in sport. Under Jessica, Arezzo won the Grand Prix of Odense plus a prestigious 1.50m class at Indoor Brabant. Jur Vrieling then took over the reins with great success. Jur and Arezzo won more than eight international classes including Helsinki and London Olympia. Additionally, the pair solidified their ranking with 2nd‘s at Bonheiden, Treffen, Indoor Brabant and Ommen; 3rd at Salzburg; 4th’s at 1.45m in Valkenswaard and Gothenburg; a 5th in the GP Drachten, etc. Arezzo and Jur Vrieling concluded their sport career with a fantastic victory in the Grand Prix at the KWPN Stallion Show.
3. The 2020 KWPN Stallion Show was a highlight with Arezzo being awarded the predicate ‘Preferent’ for his excellence as a breeding sire.

His sire Catoki, who has been stationed in Riesenbeck for a long time, has won numerous World Cup and Grand Prix competitions. His dam Kapitale is also the dam of the advanced (S) level show jumpers Coldheart (by Chambertin) and Catokina (by Catoki). Capitol II, Lord, Calypso II and Meteor xx, all outstanding performance sires, follow in his pedigree. The granddam Frühlingsfee is the dam of the licensed stallion Casino van de Helle (by Cassini I) and an advanced (S) level show jumper named Corrados (by Corrado I). Line 4705, forever linked to the Gerken breeding farm, is also the origin of the licensed stallions Chalan (by Cambridge), Chandor (by Cor de la Bryère), Chateau (by Cambridge), Codec (by Chambertin), Conoglio (by Contender), Larso (by Liostro), Levantos I and II (both by Liostro), Orleandro (by Oglio xx) and Rocadero (by Ronald) as well as many top, international horses.

Carrico
Carrico has now become firmly established in upper level, international show jumping after placing in Dortmund, Hagen a.T.W., Chantilly/FRA, Münster, Paderborn and Neumünster under Philipp Weishaupt and Henrik von Eckermann/SWE. Awarded a premium in 2005 in Neumünster, Carrico then took his stallion performance test in Redefin where he won the jumping as well as the dressage index, finishing first overall. In 2008 he won a qualifier at the Bundeschampionat with a 9.5 and in 2009 he placed in the Final for six-year old show jumpers in Warendorf. At the age of just seven, he won his first ribbons in advanced level classes.

Ancestry:

Like the son Lavallo, the sire was also Lord Holstein's champion stallion in Neumünster. And he was very lucky to have a world-class show jumping horse like Livius among his first foals, winner of the German Springderby in 1980 under P. Luther, and European, World and Olympic medalists. It was followed by Lugana (K. Huck), Lafayette (H. Schmidt) and Pedro (Th. Frühmann); today belong e.g. Lyra (H. Luther) and Tovia (A. von Buchwaldt) among his most successful jumpers. With Ladykiller xx and Cottage Son xx, Lord has two of the most important thoroughbred stallions in Holstein as direct ancestors - Lavallo's dam St.Pr.St.Hedie leads the third pedigree with Marlon xx as Marengo daughter. In doing so, she produces a not very common combination of these three exceptional sires, supplemented by the double appearance of the legendary Anglo Arab stallion Ramzes x in her third line of ancestors. Marengo has left a whole series of very good jumping and dressage horses from his only three years of service; his best offspring was undoubtedly the licensed stallion Marmor, DLG stallion in Hanover in 1980 and winner in over 20 advanced level dressage classes under P. Mohr. Lavallo comes from a very successful line of mares that has repeatedly produced high-class show jumpers. Felino 2 (from the optics, lifetime prize money almost 10,000 DM) or full brother to Lavallo's mother Melek 2, 1981 and 1982 one of his father's most profitable jumpers. St.Pr.St. Hedie is also the main dam of the stallion Acapulco, Lux and Lone Star.

Own contribution:

From 1984 to 1986 Lavallo was used as a stallion in Denmark with great success in heavy jumping.

Inheritance:

18 broodmares come from just two foals in Holstein in 1983 and 1984. In the FN yearbooks, Lavallo was able to take over the top of the year with the first successes of his material horses in 1986 and 1987, and in 1988 he was the most successful sire of jumping horses. Despite his limited number of offspring, Lavallo was still in 5th place in 1989 (jumping rank 6). In 1990, eight of his oldest offspring were successful in medium and advanced level show jumping competitions.
